It’s time to gear up for International Rare Disease Day!
We invite you to wear stripes and KAT6 awareness clothing to show your solidarity with our ultra-rare community.
Last year, families across the KAT6 community advocated for Rare Disease Day in their local communities, schools, and even in the press. We hope you will join us again in 2026.
Ways you can support Rare Disease Day 2026
-
Purchase awareness apparel. Order a KAT6 T-shirt or sweatshirt through our Bonfire fundraising campaign to raise awareness and support the Foundation.
-
Light up for rare. In a show of global solidarity, light or decorate your home in Rare Disease Day colors at 7:00 PM your local time on February 28, 2026. Use #LightUpForRare when you share.
-
Share your story. Send your story and a feature photo to support@kat6a.org, and we may highlight you on our blog and social media channels.
-
Raise awareness at school. Help educate classmates and teachers by sharing information in your child’s school. Use the RDD toolkit to guide age-appropriate conversations, print classroom coloring pages, and share our informational KAT6 flyer.
-
Make a donation. Support the KAT6 Foundation by donating to help drive research, support families, and raise awareness. We challenge you to invite friends and family to donate $6 or $60 in honor of Rare Disease Day. Give now.
-
Share on social media. Download and post the KAT6 Foundation’s Rare Disease Day graphics to help spread awareness online. Download them here.
